At a glance
Account — none. The app signs in anonymously: no name, no email address, no social login.
Your photos — sent to Google's Gemini API to produce the render, then discarded. We store no copy.
Your renders — saved on your phone only. Uninstalling the app deletes them for good.
Model training — we use the paid Gemini tier: your photos are not used to train or improve Google's products.
AI Home Design turns a photo of a room into a redesigned image, and can price the work shown in that image. To do that, the photo has to leave your phone — there is no way around it, and this page explains exactly where it goes.
We built the app so that almost nothing else does. There is no account, no profile, no cloud library of your rooms. The projects you see in History live in the app's private storage on your device.
When you ask for a redesign, the app sends to our service:
Our service forwards these to Google's Gemini API, which generates the new image and returns it. The photo is held in memory for the duration of that request and is never written to our storage.
When you ask for a cost estimate, the app sends the generated image — not your original photo — along with the six answers you gave: the type of space, the city and country of the site, the floor area, the finish level, the scope of works, and whether labour is included. These travel to the same Gemini API, which returns the itemised figures.
Training. We use the paid tier of the Gemini API. Under Google's API terms, Google does not use these photos, prompts or results to train or improve its products, and no human reviewer reads them. Google logs requests to detect abuse of its own service, and keeps those logs only as long as that purpose requires.
